SOUTH BEND - Brother William Healy, CSC,
of Dujarie House, University of Notre Dame, died Saturday in his
residence. He was 73. Brother Healy was born March 3, 1921, in
Detroit. He entered the Brothers of Holy Cross on Aug. 15, 1939;
made temporary profession Aug. 16, 1940; and pronounced final
vows Aug. 16, 1944. He was known for many years as Brother Romain
and served in many capacities including Ave Maria Press and in
Boysville of Michigan, Clinton, Mich.; St. Patrick's High School,
Monrovia, Liberia; and assisted at the Seton Thrift Shop,
Harriman, Tenn., until his retirement. He is survived by a
brother-in-law, Donald Delorey of Swartz Creek, Mich.; and
several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in
Holy Cross Brothers Center. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in
St. Joseph Cemetery of the Brothers Center. Friends may call
after 3:30 p.m. until services Wednesday in the center. Hickey
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
