WALKERTON - Gloria K. Haynes, 60, of 18139 U.S. 6, Walkerton, Indiana, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008, in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. Gloria was born on September 2, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, to George and Marjorie (Goodspeed) Replogle. Gloria and Michael R. Haynes were married on April 17, 1965. Michael preceded her in death on February 13, 1991. Gloria was employed by the State Highway Department, American Dream Tours, and had been a secretary for the Recorders Office since 1994. Gloria was engaged to Alan Burkholder of Walkerton. Gloria is survived by her daughter, April and Chad Whetstone of Columbia City, Indiana; her son, Marcus Haynes, and his friend, Betty Jorgenson of Walkerton; her fiancée, Alan Burkholder of Walkerton; her brother, Mick and Lavern Replogle of Plymouth; and her grandson, L.G. Whetstone of Columbia City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 4, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Tyner United Methodist Church, Tyner, Indiana, with the Rev. Michael Dixon officiating. Burial will be at Morris Cemetery in LaPaz, Indiana. A time of visiting with the family will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. The Haynes family would like for memorial contributions be made to the Tyner United Methodist Church.
