MISHAWAKA - Lowell "Wayne"
Harvey, 76 years old, residing on N. Victoria, Mishawaka,
passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 25, 2001, at the
Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Mr. Harvey was born on March
27, 1925, in Putnam County, IN, to the late Clarence and Arlie (Starwalt)
Harvey. He has been a resident of Mishawaka since 1949, coming
from Greencastle, IN.
On October 12, 1950, in South Bend, he
married Delores Rupert, who survives. Along with his wife,
Delores, of 51 years, survivors include two daughters, Debbie
Harvey of Rome, Italy, and Tina Harvey of Mishawaka; one son,
David (Julie) Harvey of Granger; four grandchildren, Michele
Harvey, Samantha Harvey, Patrick Ransberger and Lenny
Ransberger; two sisters, Waneta Neeley of Greencastle and
Norma Humphrey of Brazil, IN; and one brother, Jake Harvey
of Cloverdale, IN. One brother, Robert "Buck" Harvey,
preceded in death. Mr. Harvey was a supervisor in the Bakery
Industry and a member of the Deer Run Church of Christ, South
Bend. He was a WW II veteran serving with the United States
Marine Corps and a member of the VFW Post 360 in Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
on Saturday, December 29, 2001, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109
Lincoln W ay West, Osceola, IN. Mr. Steve Carr of the Deer Run
Church of Christ will officiate. Graveside services and burial
will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit
with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, December 28,
2001, at the Palmer Funeral Home, Osceola. Contributions in
memory of Lowell "Wayne" Harvey may be donated to the
Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South
Bend, IN 46637.
