SOUTH BEND - Donald H. Harvey Jr., 54, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2008. Donald was born in Springfield, IL, on April 18, 1954, to the late Donald H. Harvey I and Vera Marie Jenkins. Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara Harvey of South Bend; four children, Susan (Bill Watterud) Pierce of Elkhart, Keith (Misty) Harvey of Ellsworth AFB, SD, Elizabeth (Wayne Gurr) Pierce of South Bend and Julie (Alex) Nasserjah of Valparaiso; brothers, Chris (Michelle) Harvey of Portage and Mike (Lori) Harvey of Cedar Lake; sisters, Rebecca Magill of Valparaiso and Lori (Cecil Jr.) Messinger of Granite Falls, NC; eight grandchildren, David Arnold, Abbi, Tyler, Andrew, Trever, and Adam Harvey, Kyle Nasserjah and Lilianna Gurr; several nieces and nephews. Donald was a department manager at Sportsman's Enterprises and Blythe's Sporting Goods. He was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Portage. He loved life outdoors, NASCAR, Bass Pro and his family.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka IN, with Rev. Mark Hostetler officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage IN 46368. Another visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
