SOUTH BEND - Robert P. Hartman, 66, of South Edison Avenue, died at 7:30 a.m. today in his home. Mr. Hartman retired from RCA as an electronics technician. He was born May 29, 1928, in Rochester, and lived in South Bend for six years, coming from Mexico.

On May 6, 1984, in South Bend, he married Reynalda Ascencio Avalog. She survives with a daughter, Maribel Ascencio Hartman of South Bend; his mother, Josephine Hartman of South Bend; and a sister, Phyllis Donahue of Sheldon, Ill. He was a member of American Legion Post 284 and was a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
