Brother Claude Hartman CSC, 77, of Dujarie House, Holy Cross Junior College, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday in his residence. He was born on Oct. 31, 1899 in Caldwell, Ohio, and entered the Holy Cross community  on July 1, 1927 in Watertown, Wis. He made his final profession of vows Feb. 2, 1934 at Notre Dame. He worked as a maintenance man and a farmer. Survivors include two sisters, Sister Mary Alacogue of Troy, Ohio, and Sister Genevieve Hartman of Independence, Ohio.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today in the Holy Cross Brothers Center at Holy Cross Junior College, where a wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. today. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of St. Joseph at the Brothers  \Center, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, also at the Center.
