Arthur L. Hartman, 72, of Juniper Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. Mr. Hartman was born on Aug. 8, 1927, in Greencastle, Ind. On July 26, 1980, he married Mary K. Kellogg, who survives.

Mr. Hartman retired after 38 years with Frito-Lay, Inc., in management, was then a realtor for 10 years in the South Bend area, was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he was president of the congregation, and was an Army veteran.

Mr. Hartman is survived by his wife, Mary K. of South Bend, Ind.; three sons, Scott (Karen) Hartman of Fisher, Ind., Jeffrey (Linda) Myers of South Bend, Ind., and Dan Stegman of Mishawaka; a daughter, Charrise (Carl) Searer of South Bend; nine grandchildren; and by a sister, Alice Wendt of LaPorte County.

Visitation for Mr. Hartman was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road. Services for Mr. Hartman will be at 11 a.m. today at Faith Lutheran Church, 156 S. Lombardy Drive, South Bend, with the Rev. James Link officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to Hospice of St. Joseph County. The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road, is in charge of arrangements.
