Josephine Harrington, 69, residing on Fairview Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 1:37 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born on Aug. 3, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Charles and Ada (Alderson) Filley, and lived in this community all of her life.

On Nov. 12, 1948, in South Bend, as Josephine Filley, she married Glen A. Harrington. She is survived by her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mark Wieczorek of Osceola, Ind.; a son, Glen A. Harrington, Jr., of South Bend; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Maxcine (Richard) Mayers of South Bend, Vivian (Robert) Reimland of Mishawaka, Ind., and Jerrie Schmeltz of South Bend; and by two brothers, Noble (Virginia) Reynolds of South Bend and Jack (Ruth) Filley of Rochester, Ind.

There will be no visitation for Mrs. Harrington. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. The Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, is handling the arrangements.
