Helen Millcarek Harrell, 80, of South Bend IN, died of natural causes early Tuesday morning, October 26, in her residence.

Mrs. Harrell was born on October 17, 1919, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Anna (Hes) Nowacki. On November 27, 1942, in South Bend, she married Vincent Harrell, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Millcarek; and by a brother, Robert Nowacki.

She is survived by two sons, Charles (Gerri) Harrell of Charlotte NC, and Michael (Karen) Harrell of South Bend; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and by a brother, Frank Nowacki of Mishawaka.

Mrs. Harrell was the manager of the food counter at the former F.W.Woolworth Company, an S.S.Kresge stores for 25 years, retiring from the K-Mart Corporation in 1976. Mrs. Harrell attended Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Memorial services will be held at 7pm today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory, with burial to follow at Sims Cemetery, Connersville IN. There will be no visitation.
