Roseanna M. (Tomes) Harjung, 72, of
Roswell Court, Granger, Ind., died Saturday evening, Dec. 14, in
Hospice House. Roseanna was born April 12, 1930, in Island, Ky.,
to Marvel and Minnie (Pearl) Tomes, who preceded
her in death. She was also preceded in death by six brothers,
John Lee, Elton, Doff, William, Denver and G.B. Tomes.
Roseanna had lived in Granger since 1995
after coming from Chicago, Ill., and southern California for 30
years. On Dec. 1, 1956, in Chicago, she married Joseph F.
Harjung, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Joe of
Osceola, Ind., and Bob Harjung of Granger; four grandchildren,
Kristy, Kamy, Bobby and Courtney; and by 15 nephews and 11
nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
11 a.m. Thursday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park,
Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the
HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, 289-1000, where a
vigil service will be said at 4 p.m., and one hour prior to
services in the church on Thursday. Roseanna was a member of St.
Pius X Catholic Church and its Women's Club. Memorials may be
made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South
Bend, IN 46637.
