SOUTH BEND - Lois M. Hardy, 64, of
Arlington Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 8:45 p.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 6, in Rosewood Terrace, Elkhart, Ind. Mrs. Hardy
retired in 1991 as a center stock clerk for the G.L. Perry Store
at the Greenwood Shopping Center, South Bend, after 19 years
service.
She was born on July 3, 1933, in South Bend,
to Temple and Lucille (Turner) Clifford, and lived in the
South Bend-Elkhart area her entire life.
On Dec. 22, 1951, in South Bend, as Lois M. Clifford,
she married Duane C. Hardy, who survives. She is also survived by
a son, Ronald J. Hardy of Mishawaka, Ind.; a grandson, Tony R.
Hardy; four sisters, Peggy Yoder of Elkhart, Joann Patten
of Edwardsburg, Mich., Mary Ruth Kesler of Elkhart and
Nancy Lanthier of Mishawaka; and by two brothers, Temple
Clifford of Marietta, Ga., and Jack Clifford of Fort Myers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Zora Clifford; and by two
brothers, Clyde and Jim Clifford. Mrs. Hardy was a member of the
Apostolic Temple.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on
Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland
Road, South Bend, with Rev. Neil Hampton of the Grace Baptist
Church officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley
Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may
be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern Indiana Chapter,
919 E. Jefferson Blvd., #01, South Bend, IN 46617.
