Horace Hardy Sr.

February 10, 1910 – January 26, 1983

Horace Hardy Sr., 72, of 1206 E. Miner, was pronounced dead upon arrival at St Joseph’s Medical Center at 9am Wednesday following an extended illness.  He was retired from A. M. General Corp.

He was born on February 10, 1910, in Paducah KY and had lived in South bend for 60 years, coming from Paducah.  In 1930, in South Bend, he married Rachel Hardy, who died on December 1968.]

Hardy is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. May (Joyce) Kroll, Mrs. Hortense Magee, Mrs Harold (Marlene) Jenkins and Mrs. Truman (Deborah) Diggins, all of South Bend, Mrs. Jerry (Eve) Morris, of Tucson AZ, Mrs. Matthew (Audrey) Spender of Cleveland OH, and Mrs. Zy West (Phyllis) Chanty,of Harrisburg PA; six sons, Kenneth, Curtis, Karl and Mark, all of South Bend, Horace Jr., of Detroit and Steve, of Tucson; 41 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.]
