Norine Hardman, 79, Saturn Drive,
South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, in
St. Paul's Retirement Community, South Bend. Mrs. Hardman was
born on Oct. 22, 1919, in Logansport, Ind., as the daughter of
the late Domenico and Mary (Frisoni) Evangelisti.
On May 17, 1952, in St. Bavo's Catholic
Church, Mishawaka, Ind., as the former Norine Evangelisti, she
married Joseph Hardman. He preceded her in death on June 26,
1984. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Janet Marie
Hardman on Aug. 31, 1956. Mrs. Hardman is survived by two
daughters, Jackie Hardman of Mishawaka and Jerry Ann Hardman,
both of South Bend; two sons, Joseph D. Hardman of Mishawaka and
James H. Hardman of Crown Point, Ind., six grandchildren,
Stephanie Hardman, Jennifer Hardman, Andrea Hardman, Jeffrey
Hardman, Jory Hardman and Jace Hardman; and by a brother, Marino
Evangelisti of Mishawaka. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Mishawaka. Mrs. Hardman was employed by the former Gerber
Manufacturing and by Uniroyal in Mishawaka. She loved being a
mother, grandmother and homemaker for her children and
grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today in
the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a
Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, in St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Norine
dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, and they
are eternally grateful.
