Funeral services for Calvin Cutler Hardin,
20, will be conducted on Saturday, March 20, at the New Hope
Missionary Baptist Church, 313 East Ohio, South Bend, with Pastor
Stephen Reed officiating.
The ceremony is scheduled for noon, with
visitation one hour before. Interment will follow at Highland
Cemetery.
Calvin, a lifelong South Bend resident who
attended Riley High School and graduated from Hamilton Adult
Education School, died on Sunday, March 14. He had recently
received certification for successful completion of the Indiana
State Building Trades Construction Program and was looking
forward to starting a career in the building trades industry.
Calvin was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church
were he joined as a youngster, and served as a member of the
Youth Fellowship and the Junior Usher Board. e was a young man
who enjoyed life and will be missed by those who knew and loved
him.
He was preceded in death by his father,
Issac Cutler in 1991; and by his maternal grandparents,
Louis Gilbert and Lillie Mae Hardin. He leaves to cherish
his memory his mother, Wyvonia Hardin; six sisters, Saquita
Bishop, Willie Jean (Robert) Taylor, Dorothy Ann Ellis, Delores
Winters, Elenor Lynn Cutler and Tonya (Lee) Booker, all of South
Bend; two brothers, Curtis and Dennis, also of South Bend; a dear
and very close cousin, Joseph Newbill; and special friend
Patricia; along with a host of other family members and friends.
