Sister Mary
Dorilda CSC, of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, died Wednesday
in Saint Marys Convent, after a long illness. She was born
Ellen Hanley in County Galway, Ireland in 1881. She
entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1901; received the habit
in 1902; and made her profession of vows in 1907. During her
community life she had been missioned at St. Marys in
Danville, Ill. and spent many years on duty in the western
province. She retired from active duty within the last few years,
A requiem high mass
will be in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at 6 a.m. Friday
with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call in
the convent parlor.
