MISHAWAKA - Victor G. Haning, 72, residing in Mishawaka,
passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2007, in his home
following an illness. He was born February 17, 1935, in
Jasonville, IN, to Victor E. and Averil I. (Harmon)
Haning, and had lived in South Bend most of his life. He was a
graduate of John Adams High School, and retired from National
Standard in Niles, MI, as a mechanical engineer following 25
years of service. He was a member of the Edwardsburg Conservation
Club.
On October 23, 1954, in River Park Church of
Christ, South Bend, he was united in marriage to his loving wife
Evelyn, who survives. He is also survived by his son, Joe Haning
of South Bend; one grandson, Jason Haning; and
great-grandchildren, Austin and Lily Haning. A sister, Sue Nell Horlander
of Spring Hill, FL, and a brother, Vernal G. Haning of Three
Rivers, MI, survive Victor as well.
No services are planned according to Mr.
Haning's wishes. Those wishing to offer memorial contributions
may do so to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc.,

Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, is assisting
the Haning family with funeral arrangements.
