Delores Mae Haney

Delores Mae Haney, 63, of 909 Harrison St., Walkerton, passed away Monday. Mrs. Haney was the co-owner of Gene's Plastics, where she was also the office manager. Delores was born May 12, 1933, in North Liberty, Ind., to Lloyd Henry Dankert and Hattie Bernice (Snyder) Dankert. They preceded her in death.

On March 24, 1951, in Knox, she married Earl Eugene Haney. He passed away Sept. 29, 1996. Survivors include three children: a daughter, Vickie Ganger of Walkerton and two sons, Terry Haney and Billy Haney, both of Plymouth. Mrs. Haney is also survived by two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dora McLean of Plymouth and Dorothy Kinney of Florida; and one brother, Lloyd (Ed) Dankert of Walkerton.

Mrs. Haney was a member of the First Baptist Church at Walkerton and the Rebekkah Lodge 465. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the First Baptist Church at Walkerton. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home in Walkerton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church or to St. Joseph County Hospice.
