Bernard E. Haney

SOUTH BEND - Bernard E. Haney, 94, of North Ironwood, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday in Regency Place. Mr. Haney retired in 1968 from St. Mary's College, where he had served as an electrician for 39 years. He was born Jan. 29, 1901, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident. On July 6, 1927, in South Bend, he married Ann A. Nemeth. She died June 13, 1993. Surviving are three sons, James of Kalamazoo, Thomas of Ashville, N.C., and Gerald of San Francisco; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
