SOUTH BEND - Johnnie L. Hamman Sr., 65, of South Bend, passed away at 2:31 p.m. Sunday, March 25, in Memorial Hospital. Johnnie was born in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Frank and Myrtle (Anderson) Hamman. Johnnie was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Frank Hamman Jr.

He is survived by his son, Johnnie Hamman Jr. of Elkhart, IN; three grandsons, Johnnie III, Zachary and Andrew; one granddaughter, Josefa; two sisters, Gloria O'Banion and Arvilla Reed, both of South Bend; his brother, James Hamman of Mishawaka; two stepsisters, Deborah Young and Sharon Strahla, both of South Bend; and one stepbrother, Louis Nowicki of South Bend. He was a former employee of the City of South Bend Street Dept. sign shop. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, and riding his bike.

There will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place at Welsheimer Crematory.
