DeForest E. Ham, 1209 Clover St., died at 4:15 p.m. Friday in St.
Josephs Hospital after a months illness.
He was born in Ontagmi, Wis., May 2, 1877, and had lived in South
Bend nine years coming here from Lafayette. His wife, Lucy, died
in 1950.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Wulf, of South Bend; four
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Hollis Funeral Home
where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel at the
State Soldiers Home in Lafayette. Rev. Edwin Gillum,
chaplain at the home, will officiate. Burial will be in the
Soldiers Cemetery at Lafayette.
Mr. Ham was a Spanish American War Veteran and a retired
millwright of the Studebaker Corp.
