Mrs. Loretta Hambright
Mrs. Loretta Hambright, 80, of 3602 S.
Ironwood, South Bend, died at noon Wednesday in Beyer Memorial
Hospital, Ypsilanti, Mich., after a three-week illness. She
was born on April 12, 1903, in Mishawaka, and remained a lifetime
resident of this area. She was retired from Robertsons
department store, South Bend. As Loretta Bickel she
was married on July 14, 1921, in St. Joseph, Mich., to John H.
Hambright. He died in 1980. Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. Thomas (Shirley Ann) Books of Belleville, Mich.; a
son, Robert Hambright of El Paso, Tex.; six grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Hoose of
Mishawaka and Mrs. Lillian McMillian and Mrs. Lucille Rich,
both of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St.
Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend, of which she was a
member. Rev. Robert Yast, pastor, will officiate. Burial
will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Thallemer-Goethals
Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Friday.
