OSCEOLA - Services for Virginia Ethel
Haines, 71, of 1630 Churchill Drive, South Bend, a former
Osceola resident, who died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in West Palm
Beach (Fla.) Hospital after an illness, will be at noon Saturday
in Warner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery,
North Liberty. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday in the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Creek
United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.
Mrs. Haines had been employed by
Wheelabrator Corp., Mishawaka. She was born April 1, 1922, in
Wise, Va. On May 22, 1971, in Osceola, she married Phillip
Haines. He died April 25, 1992. Surviving are four daughters,
Janice Ryan of Walkerton, Linda Skene of Roswell,
Ga., Barbara Jo Fay of Newberry, Mich., and Jenne Ann Silvers
of Phoenix; a son, Randall Lee Silvers of Grand Rapids; eight
grandchildren; three sisters, Mavis Carney of Attica,
Ind., Thelma Kamstra of Delphi, Ind., and Rose McCarthy
of West Palm Beach; and a brother, Wayne Bell of South
Bend.
