SOUTH BEND - Evelyn Joan Hagman, 85,
of North le Boulevard de la Paix, died at 4:45 a.m. today in
Transitional Health Services of South Bend. Mrs. Hagman was the
former owner of Casimer's Supermarket. She was born May 24, 1911,
in South Bend.
As Evelyn Joan Woltman, she married
Casimer Szewczyk. He preceded her in death. She is
survived by her second husband, Arthur A. Hagman of South Bend;
three daughters, Marsha Bogar of Pontiac, Mich., and
Lillian Corrigan and Charlotte Barcevic, both of San
Antonio; a son, Casimer Szewczyk of South Bend; nine
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Sobczak
of South Bend; and four brothers, Henry, Richard, Stanley and
Donald Woltman, all of South Bend. She was a member of American
Turners, Eagles Lodge 435 Auxiliary, Polish Business Women and
M.R. Falcons.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St.
Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral
Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
