Albert Haefner, 67, of 1209 E.
Bronson Street, died atr 1:45 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital
after an illness of six months. He was the former owner of the
local Lincoln Highway Bakery. Born Nov. 8, 1901, in Stuttgart,
Germany, he had lived here since 1923 coming from that country.
On Oct. 26, 1929 he married Helen Schegal,
who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Farnnie Haefner
of Winnenden, Germany; a son Donn R. of South Bend, a daughter,
Mrs. Jean M. Kalkbrenner of Rutherford, N.J.; four
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Waldenmair and
Mrs. Maria Jetter, both of Winnenden.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
Sunday in the Welscheimer Funeral Home, where services will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. Edward Bruseke, of the Zion
United Church of Christ, will be in charge. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery. Mr. Haefner was a member of the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the churchs memorial
fund.
