Beatrice E. Hackard

June 2, 1904 – April 27, 1982

Mrs. Beatrice E. Hackard, 77, of 19584 Sherwood, died at 10:30pm Tuesday in the LaPorte Hospital after a short illness.  She was a homemaker.

She was born June 2, 1904, in Chicago, and lived in the South Bend area for 11 years coming from Chicago.  On December 9, 1927, in Chicago she married Clyde Hackard, who survives.  Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Chaplin of South Bend and Mrs. Darlene Lang of Arlington Heights IL; eight grandchildren; and a brother, John Hughes of Lake Villa IL.

Services will be held at 11am Friday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, with Rev. Warren VanOort, pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
