Earl Knight Gustin, 51, of 1114
Goodland Ave., died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital
where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He was born on April
25, 1913 in Milwaukee. He had lived in South Bend for 47
years. In 1936 in South Bend he was married to Helen L.
Peltz, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Craig,
at home and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Gustin, of Clearwater,
Fla. He was a member of the First Church of Christ
Scientist, the Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, and the Orak
Shrine of Hammond. He was an employee of the Bendix Corp.
Friends may call after noon Monday at the Welsheimer Funeral
Home, where services are incomplete.

GUSTIN - Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday
in the Welsheimer Funeral Home for Earl K. Gustin, 1114 Goodland
Ave., who died Saturday. A. D. Maloney, former first reader
of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, will officiate. Burial
will be in Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be
James Gloster, Jacob Haas, Harry Buxton,
Ronald Larson, James Lewellen and Evan Thompson.
Mr. Gustin was a member of South Bend Lodge 294, F& AM.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of Christ,
Scientist.
