SOUTH BEND - Thelma M. Gurchiek, 80, of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the nursing home. Mrs. Gurchiek was born Jan. 4, 1915, in Hymera, Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Wassel of South Bend; a son, Anthony M. of South Bend; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Terre Haute. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Terre Haute. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, Terre Haute, where a parish rosary will be said at 5 p.m.
