SOUTH BEND - James Quincy Gunn Jr., 29, of North Wellington Street, died Sunday evening of a gunshot wound at Wellington and Huron streets. St. Joseph County Coroner Dr. James E. McMeel ruled the death a homicide. Mr. Gunn was born June 12, 1966, in South Bend. He is survived by three daughters, including Kenisha Gunn and Ashley Gunn, both of South Bend; a son, James Q. III of South Bend; his mother, Frankie Gunn of South Bend; his father, James Gunn Sr. of South Bend; two sisters, Denise Gunn and Lisa Gunn, both of South Bend; and maternal grandmother, Helen Bradford of South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Alford's Mortuary. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call two hours before services in the funeral home.
