MISHAWAKA – Adam S. “Mossie” Guerra, 71, of 1016 S. Spring Street, died at 7 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness. He retired in 1978 from the Mishawaka Street Department. He was born Aug. 4, 1913 in Mishawaka.

On Feb. 17, 1934 he married the former, Olga E. Bissacchi in Logansport, Ind. She survives with two sons, Danny E. of Bremen and Richard D. of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Amarel of Mishawaka and Pauline Meixel of South Bend, and a brother Tony of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hahn’s-DeVos Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Guerra was a member of the church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
