Harry C. Guernsey

December 6, 1890 – March 21, 1974

Harry C. Guernsey, 83, of Rt 3, New Carlisle, died at 5:30am today in his home.  He was a retired horse trainer and farmer.

Born December 6, 1890, in Ainsworth IN, he had lived in New Carlisle, 33 years, coming from South Bend.  On September 5, 1933, in Crown Point, he married Betty Schlecke, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Earl of Copperville MI; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Downey of New Carlisle, and Martella and Margaret, both of Valparaiso; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three half brothers, Clark Kline of New Carlisle, Richard Kline of South Bend and Hiram Cline of Galien MI, and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Talbott of South end and Mrs. Cora Gibson of MO.

Services will be at 1:30pm Saturday in the H D Amen & Son Funeral Home.  Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11am Saturday until services.
