Mildred Guendling

Mildred Guendling, 92, of Hasting Street in River Park, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, in Countryside Place, Mishawaka, Ind. Mildred was born on Oct. 16, 1909, the oldest daughter of Fred and Georgia (Bailey) Guendling, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Vahl, Catherine Guendling, Helen Beczkiewicz and Georgia Guendling.

Mildred retired from Uniroyal in 1971 after 46 years of service. She was a volunteer for Real Services for nearly 20 years. She was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ.

She is survived by one brother, Fred (Juanita) Guendling of South Bend, Ind.; two nieces, Lisa Beczkiewicz of Missoula, Mont., and Shelly Elough of Texas; and by three nephews, Randall Guendling of Fayetteville, Ark., Greg Beczkiewicz of Indianapolis, Ind., and Michael Beczkiewicz of Bloomington, Ind.

Funeral services will be held for Mildred Guendling at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 2, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home on Ironwood Drive, with burial immediately following at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Ind. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home.
