MISHAWAKA - Elizabeth M. ''Betty'' Gudates, 90, of 2901 Hickory Road, died at 7:55 p.m. Monday in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. Mrs. Gudates was born Dec. 25, 1903, in Granger, and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 19, 1923, in South Bend, as Betty Schultz, she married Henry William Gudates. He died Feb. 23, 1968. She is survived by three daughters, Joane Hicks of Pittsburgh, Mary Ann Kopinski of South Bend and Betty Ann Hevel of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Schultz of Texas. A granddaughter preceded her in death. She was a member of Harvest House and Guild, both of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church of South Bend, and Notre Dame Circle 572 Daughters of Isabella of South Bend, One of a Kind Style Show of South Bend, Jamestown Homes Board and Battell Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be said at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
