SOUTH BEND – Veronica “Babe” Grzesk, 82, of 1537 Anderson Avenue, died at 9:35am Monday in Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, New Carlisle. Mrs. Grzesk and her husband were the owners/operators of the former Ted’s Tavern on LaPorte Avenue for 33 years.

She was born February 9, 1910, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On October 17, 1940, in South Bend, as Veronica Badur, she married Thaddeus A. Grzesk. He survives with several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Z.B.Falcon Nest 80 and St Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10am Thursday in the church. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3pm.
