South Bend Tribune 8/25/2005 Ann Grzeskowiak, 76, of
Mishawaka, passed away Monday evening, August 22, 2005,
in Fountainview Place of Mishawaka. Ann was born
September 8, 1928, in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late
Anton J. and Olga A. (Stasula) Moshak. She
grew up in Mishawaka and graduated from Mishawaka High
School in 1947. On September 27, 1958, in South
Bend, she married Clem "Jim" Grzeskowiak, and
the couple made their home in Mishawaka. Ann was employed
as a seamstress for over 30 years with Wilson
Brothers/Enro Shirt Company in South Bend, and she served
as their union representative for many years. She was a
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Ann
and Jim enjoyed spending summer weekends at a lake near
Shipshewana. The couple also traveled in the United
States. Ann was an avid reader, and had a great fondness
for her nieces and nephews. Ann's surviving family includes her
three sisters, Tillie (Gale) Winrote of South
Bend, Mary (Armond) Hacker of South Bend and Rosa
(Jim) Mitchell of Mishawaka; two brothers, John
(Helen) Moshak of Skokie, Illinois, and Bill (Cathy)
Moshak of Mishawaka; many nieces and nephews, and
great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
her husband; four sisters, Katherine VanHuffel,
Olga Grubbs, Helen Mikulyuk and Pauline
Jean Jerzak; and a brother, Anthony Moshak. Friends may spend time with Ann's
family today from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Thallemer,
Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third St.,
Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at
10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill
Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating.
Burial will follow next to her husband at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family suggests memorial
contributions be made to St. Joseph Church. Envelopes are
available in the funeral home. |
