Jane R. Grummell

Jane O'Sullivan Grummell, 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Grummell was born on March 21, 1915, in Chicago, Ill.

She was married to George G. Grummell of South Bend, who preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory in 1986.

She was a former member of Christ Child Society, the Assemblers, Sacred Heart Parish and the Ladies of Notre Dame. While residing in Michigan, she belonged to the Birth Right Organization. Mrs. Grummell is survived by two daughters, Nancy (William) Geary of Wilmette, Ill. and Kathleen (Dennis) Troester of South Bend; a son, Richard (Bonnie) of San Diego, Calif.; and by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be at 8:30 a.m. today in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame with Mass following at 9:30. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. McGann Funeral Home, University Area Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
