15, 1922 - May 14, 2010SOUTH BEND - Mary T. Grimm, 87, passed away at 10:06 am Friday, May 14, 2010 in her daughter's residence. She was born on October 15, 1922 in South Bend to John and Julia (Kamar) Kovatch. On August 30, 1941 in St. Patrick's Church she married James H. Grimm. He died on June 14, 2007. Mary was also preceded in death by a daughter Alana Marie Grimm, a granddaughter Tamela Lynn Grimm, a daughter-in-law Joyce Grimm and two brothers John Kovatch and Andy Kovatch. Surviving are a daughter Kathleen (Tom) Koscher of South Bend; 4 sons Patrick (Joan) Grimm of Osceola, James "Butch" (Kay) Grimm of Arkansas, Robert (Patty) Grimm of Elkhart and Richard Grimm of South Bend; 9 grandchildren Stephanie Bell, Michael Grimm, Daniel Grimm, James Grimm, Jennifer Grimm, T.J. Koscher, Tony Koscher, Travis Koscher, and Kelli Jo Grimm; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters Julia Black and Gloria Kovatch both of Elkhart; a brother Robert Kovatch of Mishawaka and a special member of the family Brandi Dokes Mary was a long time member of St. Matthew Cathedral and loved children. Her family would like to extend special thanks to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care and caregiver Annie Weaver. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
