Mrs. Eula Grimes, 73, of 125 W. Marion St., died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday in her residence after a four-month illness. Born April 24, 1897 in Casnovia, Mich., she lived in this area most of her life.

On Nov. 10, 1938, she was married to Fred C. Grimes, who died in 1941. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Fellingham, Englewood, Colo. and two grandchildren. Also surviving are a nephew, J. H. Sunderlin, Jr. of South Bend, and two nieces, Mrs. Jack Brehmer and Mrs. Jack Wilhelm, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home where services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday. Rev. C. Franklin Bruce, pastor of Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

She was a past president of the Women's Board of Memorial Hospital, chairman of the Memorial Fund of Memorial Hospital and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospital Expansion Fund
