Carl J. Griman (Sept. 13, 1912 – Oct. 12, 1996).
Carl J. Griman, 84, of East Donald Street, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct 12, in his home. Mr. Griman was a former Studebaker employee and a retiree of the South Bend School Corporation.
Mr. Griman was born Sept. 13, 1912, in South Bend. On April 23, 1935, in South Bend, he married the former Margaret Powell who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Eugene C. Griman of South Bend and George Arthur Griman of Troy, Ohio; three daughters, Jeanette Blondia and Julie Barany, both of South Bend adn Margaret (Pet) Stevens of Granger; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Florence Reiner and Marie Kramer, both of South Bend.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14 at Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble St., where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Foundation.
