SOUTH BEND - Dorothy Mae (Bennett) Griggs, 69, of South Franklin Street, died at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. Mrs. Griggs retired from Automotive Warehouse Distributors and from Uniroyal Plastics Co., Mishawaka. She was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Lakeville.

She is survived by a daughter, Patty Riedl of South Bend; two sons, Donny E. of South Bend and Bob F. of Lakeville; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Bennett of South Bend. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 363, Lakeville, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1167.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
