Earl Greenwell

GRANGER - Earl Greenwell, 80, of Granger, Indiana, passed
away at 9:47 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, at home. He was born
November 22, 1926, in Loogootee, IN, to Alvin and Sarah (Raney)
Greenwell.
On November 25, 1954, he married Mildred Hunter.
Together they raised five sons, Gary (Lori) of Osceola, Jim of
Osceola, Steve (Ken) of Lakewood, OH, Alan of Granger and John
(Denise) of Mt. Summit, IN. Earl was a loving grandfather to
eight grandchildren, Sara (Dan), Cara (fiancé Brett Biancardi),
Jake, Garrett, Grant, Kala, Tate and Hunter; and one
great-granddaughter, Payton. Earl also had two siblings, Anna of Loogootee
and Joe of Indianapolis.
Earl served in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War and worked for the Federal Treasury Department for 29
years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the American Legion
Post #120 in Loogootee, the Indiana Society of Accountants and
St. Pius X Catholic Church. Earl will be remembered as a devoted
family man and dedicated fan of the New York Yankees, Green Bay
Packers and the football teams of the University of Notre Dame
and Penn High School.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 to
4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2007, in the Bubb Funeral
Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., with the recitation of the Rosary at 4
p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Catholic
Church in Granger at 10:30 a.m. with the family greeting friends
at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Rescue

For Hospice & Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South
Bend, IN 46637.
