MISHAWAKA - Virginia M. Green, 78, of Mishawaka, passed away on
Monday, June 14th, in her residence with her loving family at her
bedside. Virginia was born on June 27, 1931, in Lakeville, to the
late Lawrence and Violet (Shuppert) White. Virginia attended
South Bend Riley High School. As the former Virginia White, she
married Leslie Green in November 1949 in South Bend. Virginia and
Leslie shared 61 wonderful years of marriage together. Virginia
is survived by her husband Leslie and their five children,
Suzanne Galbraith of Indianapolis, Debbie (Mickey) Belle of
Granger, Rick (Beth) Green of South Bend, John (Tammy) Green of
Niles and Lisa (Grant Jr.) Stacy of South Bend. Virginia was a
loving and caring grandmother to 16 grandchildren and great-
grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Virginia is
a sister, Helen Marie Pass of Mishawaka. Virginia was a devoted
wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family most of
all. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and was an avid NASCAR
racing fan. The family is honoring Virginia's wishes to have a
private visitation and funeral service. A special "Thank
You" to Lisa (Virginia's little angel) from her brothers and
sisters for taking care of mom for the past two years. Memorial
contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and
Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN
46637. Bubb Funeral Chapel assisted the family with the
arrangements.
