Theresa M. Grayzck (March 19, 1912 - Jan. 31, 2004)

SOUTH BEND -- Theresa M. Grayzck, 91, of Fountainview Place, died Saturday in the nursing home. Survivors include three daughters, Dolores Kelver of South Bend, Lorraine Audenaert of Rutherfordton, N.C., and Christine Dye of Indianapolis; three sisters, Stella Biebuyck of South Bend and Loretta Futa and Jeanette Jasinski, both of North Liberty; and two brothers, Ernest Prentkowski and Marion Stachowiak, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Little Flower Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road.

Theresa M. Grayzck (March 19, 1912 -- Jan. 31, 2004)

Theresa M. Grayzck, formerly of Garden Lane, South Bend, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, in Fountainview Place.

 

She was born March 19, 1912, in South Bend, to Stanley and Hattie (Witmer) Prentkowski. On Sept. 30, 1933, in St. Patrick Church, Theresa married Stanley Grayzck, who passed away in November 1989. A son, John Grayzck, is deceased, along with Theresa's sister, Henrietta and a brother, Alfred Stachowiak.

 

Surviving Theresa are three daughters, Dolores (Duane) Kelver of South Bend, Lorraine (Ronald) Audenaert of Rutherfordton, N.C., and Christine (Tom) Dye of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Kurt and Kerry Kelver, Cheryl and Kenneth Audenaert, and Dawn and Eric Dye; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Stella Biebuyck of South Bend and Loretta Futa and Jeanette Jasinski, both of North Liberty; and two brothers, Ernest Prentkowski and Marion Stachowiak, both of South Bend.

 

Theresa worked at Studebaker's on the assembly line and as a seamstress. She was a rosary maker at St. John the Baptist Church and belonged to the St. Anne's Society.

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, from 2 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. IRELAND ROAD. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Little Flower Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery.
