OSCEOLA - Victor R. Grayson, 87, of Osceola, formerly of
Mishawaka, passed away in his home on Tuesday, January 8th. On
October 27, 1920, in South Bend, he was born as the son of
Cashmier and Lottie (Lyczyniski) Golubski. He was
preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angela Grayson; a
son, Thomas V Grayson; and a grandson, Patrick I. Steward.
On November 18, 1944, in South Bend, he
married the former Norma R. Metzler, who preceded him in
death on June 23, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Steward
of Osceola; a grandson, David L. Steward; daughter-in-law,
Phyllis Grayson of Osceola; two sisters, Geraldine
"Gerry" (Bogie) Bogaert and Darlene (Albert) Van
De Voorde, both of Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews.
Victor was a 1938 Central High School
graduate and a 1944 graduate of Notre Dame. Victor worked for
Studebaker's from 1944 to 1954. He was pharmaceutical sales rep
for A.H. Robins for 32 years before he retired in 1986. He was a
veteran of the United States Army. He served his country proudly
during the Korean War. He was 4th Degree KofC in South Bend,
Council 553, a member of St. Patrick's Church in South Bend, and
American Legion Post 210 in Middlebury.
Visitation for family and friends will be
held on Friday, Jan. 11, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Hahn
Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will
be at noon in the funeral home, with Father Richard Laurick
officiating. Contributions may be made in memory of Victor to St.
Patrick Catholic Church, 309 S. Taylor St., South Bend, IN 46601.
