Mrs. Olivia Valrice Grayson, 55,
devoted mother, grandmother and sister who resided on East Dayton
Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after and illness at 4:45
a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6,. in her residence. Olivia was born on
Feb. 3, 1949, in Earlington, Ky., to Pearly Evans and
Dorothy Kelly, who both preceded her in death. In
Kentucky, Olivia attended cosmetology school, brought her talent
to South Bend, Ind., 35 years ago, and worked for AM General for
28 years as a factory laborer. She attended Bethlehem Baptist
Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are a
daughter, Yolanda Evans; two sons, Solomon Grayson, both of South
Bend, and Shawn Greene of South Bend; two stepdaughters,
Annette (Victor) Adams and Cassandra (Rodney) Ellison,
both of Flint, Mich.; six grandchildren; three sisters, Wilma
(James) Noel of Peoria, Ill., Charmaine and Gloria Stone,
both of Earlington; three brothers, Tom (Roxie) Evans of
Springfield, Ill., David and Randy Stone, both of
Earlington; two stepbrothers, John (Darlene) and George (Lynn) White,
both of Earlington; along with a host of other relatives and
friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 13, in Bethlehem Baptist Church. Visitation will
occur one hour prior to services in the church. Her committal and
final resting place will be at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements
have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary.
