Mishawaka - Friends of Norma R. Grayson,
74, of Wilson Boulevard, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
today at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka, where wake prayers will
be at 7 p.m. today. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at St. Patrick's Church of South Bend. Burial will be in
South Union Cemetery, Nappanee. Mrs. Grayson died at 1:40 a.m.
Thursday (June 23, 1994) in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South
Bend. She had been in ill health. She was born April 1, 1920, in
Snover, Mich.
As Norma R. Metzler, she married
Victor Grayson on Nov. 18, 1944, in South Bend. He survives with
one daughter, Mary C. Steward of Elkhart; one son, Thomas
V. Grayson of Osceola; one grandson; one sister, Mary A. Plymale
of Elkhart; and one brother, Lama Metzer of Nappanee. One sister,
Lois Miller, and a daughter, Angela, are deceased. Mrs. Grayson
was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, and had
worked for Dr. D. H. Condit.
She retired in 1970 from St. Joseph Hospital
of Mishawaka. A life resident of St. Joseph/Elkhart County area,
she was a member of the School of Nursing Alumni Association and
1941 graduate of Epworth School of Nursing and Chicago Lying-In
Center. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
