GEORGE GRAYSON, age 73, died on Saturday morning, Aug. 21, in his home of natural causes.

He was born in South Bend, Ind., on May 3, 1926, to Nellie and George D. Grayson, Sr., who preceded him in death. George was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Grayson. A lifelong area resident, he attended the South Bend school system and was a graduate of Central High School. He was discharged from the U. S. Army in 1946 as a World War II veteran.

But of greater importance, he was a loving husband for more than 50 years, a devoted father, a caring grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him. He was willing to serve whenever and wherever needed.

Along with his wife, Charlotte Grayson, those left to cherish his memory are eight daughters, Paulette King, Geraldine Manns, Grace Lynn Gordon, Elsie K. (Calvin) Williams, and Lynda (Charles) Lee, all of South Bend, Doye (Renard) LaSane of St. Louis, Mo., Suellen (Joe) Donaldson of Atlanta, Ga., and Karin (Charles) Roberts of Gary, Ind.; two sons, Oliver Grayson of Minneapolis, Minn., and George D.
