ALTON E. GRAY DIES AT AGE 67  

Resident Succumbs After Illness Of 6 Months.       

Alton E. Gray, 67, a resident of this city since 1913, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in his home, 220 E. 9th St.  He had been ill for six months.  Mr. Gray was born in Sodus, Mich., and came to Mishawaka from there.  He married Anna Brennen in 1913 in St. Joseph's Church, South Bend.     

Mr. Gray retired from the Ball-Band plant in 1956 after being employed by the company for 38 years.  Surviving are his widow; his father, Thomas E. Gray, of Boise, Idaho; two sons Thomas Gray, of Mishawaka and George Gray, South Bend; four daughters, Mrs. John Nagle, of Elkhart, Mrs. Carl Daniels and Mrs. Francis Huys, of South Bend, and Mrs. Edward Royce, of Kokomo, Ind; 23 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Claude Robinson, of Boise and Mrs. Paul Cawgill, of Encinitas, Calif.     

Friends may call after noon Saturday in the Thellemer-Goethals Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Church; Very Rev. Curt a. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Funeral Notes:   Gray - Pallbearers for Alton E. Gray, 69, of 220 E. 9th St., who died Thursday will be Leo Leyes, Leo Meixel Sr., William Roggeman, Sr., Floyd Fore, Edward Breiler and Schuyler Krumanaker.   Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Monday in St. Joseph's Church.  Very Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor will officate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.  The rosary will be recited there at 7 p.m. Sunday.
