Raymond Graveel

MISHAWAKA – Raymond Graveel, aged 53, who resided in Mishawaka from 1909 when he moved here from Belgium until 1926 when he went to live in Chicago, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday in Walter Memorial Hospital, Chicago following as illness of three months. He was born May 24, 1895 in Bellem, Belgium.

Besides his widow Jenny, and two children from a prior marriage, Robert C. Graveel and Mrs. George Fuller, he is survived by three brothers, August Graveel, Rt. 1, New Carlisle, this county, Hector J. Graveel and Rene J. Graveel of Mishawaka, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John Berchman’s Catholic Church, Chicago with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in that city.

Editor: On 2-8-1917 he married Irma Speybroeck in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church in Mishawaka.
