Wesley G. Gramenz

Wesley G. Gramenz, 81, of Mishawaka,
passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 19,
in Countryside Place and Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka.
Wesley was born on February 22,
1925, in Des Moines, Iowa, to George and Marguerite (Johnson)
Gramenz. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard
Himes; a granddaughter, Tamberly; and a half brother, James
Gramenz.
On February 2, 1974, in Niles, Michigan,
he married the former Gloria Wilhelm. He is survived by his wife,
Gloria; a daughter, Connie Gramenz, and his favorite son-in-law,
Thomas Brown, both of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Jeremy,
Victoria, Thomas Jr., Brandon, Steven, Travis and Marquita; four
great-grandchildren, Samantha, Montana, Mackenzie and Jeremiah.
Also surviving are several other grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, and a sister, Irene Anton of Lake Village, IN.
Wesley was a meter reader for the
City of Mishawaka for 11 years before he retired in 1987. He was
a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country
proudly during WW II. He was a member of the Eagles and St.
Peter's Lutheran Church. Wesley enjoyed fishing, dancing, and
playing Euchre any chance he could find the time.
Family will receive friends on
Thursday, September 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Hahn
Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will
be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Brian Borger
officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens,
Osceola.
