SOUTH BEND - William H. Grace Jr., 66, of North Ironwood Drive, died at 5 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Grace retired from Nu-Med Corp. as corporate director. He was born May 28, 1928, in Pittsburgh and lived in South Bend for 15 years, coming from Virginia.

On May 29, 1981, in South Bend, he married Joanna R. Delcamp, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Donna L. of Mishawaka and Jennie of Ann Arbor; two sons, Douglas A. of South Bend and Bruce C. of Berkeley, Calif.; and two grandchildren. A son, David W., died in 1985.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica. He was a veteran of World War II, having received the Bronze Star. He also was a member of the American Legion.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in crypt of Sacred Heart Basilica. Cremation will take place. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross College Student Assistance Program or Northcentral Indiana Pediatric Hemotology/Oncology Treatment Center at Memorial Hospital.
